We’ve a little behind on posting playlists, so please forgive.  Here are a few recent ones…

For our Thursday premiere on 6/18, DJ Smallie Bigs rocked the dance floor with with some classic jams:

It takes a village….

to keep the dance floor poppin’!  

Great news, ladies!  When faced with the prospect of losing Sunday DDPP sessions, loyal dancers Ali, Mona, Anita & Ish stepped up and have agreed to make sure the party continues.  This is amazing, as it means we will now be able to dance TWICE A WEEK, on both Sundays and Thursdays!  Rach and I will try and make as many Sunday sessions as possible, but in the event of our absence these fabulous ladies will take the reins and keep the party going!  

So all summer long you can hit the dance floor twice a week: Sundays from 5 – 6:30 pm, and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7 pm.  

This means we’ll need twice as many DJs, so let us know if you want to spin, and we’ll see you on the dance floor!!!!!!!!!

Keep on movin’ don’t stop…

It’s a new season, and once again change is in the air for DDPP!  

Because the summer months mean lots of people are out of town on the weekends, and because we’ve always gotten requests for weeknight dancing,

starting June 18th DDPP will now officially be held on 

THURSDAYS FROM 5:30-7 PM!  

We’ll be dancing this Sunday (6/14) at the usual time (5 pm) for the last time, and next week the Thursday sessions will begin.  So start your summer off right by dancing away the stresses of the week and welcoming the weekend every Thursday at DDPP!

CALLING ALL DJs!!!

Having new DJs spin their finest these past few weeks has been totally inspiring, and made it completely clear that the more variety you have on the turntables (or ipod)…. THE BETTER! 

Case in point, my girl DJ Roover’s mix from 5/17, which you can check out below.  She gave us the perfect musical blend, even throwing in some swing music for that 40’s vibe.  

So break out those ipods ladies, and start making those mixes!  DDPP needs you!  Email me if you want to be the mixmaster, and we’ll work out a date that’s good for you.

Spring Fever hits DDPP

Ahh, spring.  The days get a little longer, the smell of bbqing meat begins to waft through the neighborhood, and you have those first glorious weekends when it’s warm enough to spend all day out in the sunshine.  In other words… springtime rules.  

It also causes one (this one, specifically) to get really distracted and not post playlists for weeks on end.  My bad.  

The dance floor has been bursting with new energy, vitality and faces these past few weeks- very much in line with the whole ‘newness and rebirth’ vibe mother nature has going on.  We’ve had some amazing ladies try their hand at playing DJ for the first time, with some utterly phenomenal results.  Check out their talents below, and we’ll see you on May 17th!
